The hike for children and adults in Hymettos – Bat Cave🦇, is designed to bring our little ones closer to nature and the mountains and to create the instinct of exploration🔎, ALWAYS with the utmost safety. Hymettos is located on the eastern side of the Athens basin, with a maximum altitude of 1,026 m at the peak of Evzona, a length of 23 km and a width varying from 4 to 6 km, it covers an area of 80,000 acres. Hymettos is also famous for its caverns, the most famous of which is the Koutouki cave in Peania and many smaller ones such as the Lion’s Cave and the Bat Cave, which we will tour. The depth of the Bat Cave is estimated at 100 to 130 meters. Hymettos is one of the most popular destinations for the residents of the capital who want to get close to nature. In recent years, several trails have been cleared and marked. In these paths we will also carry out our hike.
Our route will start from the monastery of ⛪Agios Ioannis the Hunter where we will leave our vehicles. From there we will start climbing uphill to head towards the Bat Cave. In stops along the way we will be able to admire the magnificent view of Athens🌁. Once we reach the cave, we will have a short briefing about it and then wearing our helmets we will safely enter the cave. Then we will take the way back having filled our little friends’ minds with unforgettable experiences.

Cost:
- 10 euros/person (including V.A.T)
- 20 euros/family (3 persons) (including V.A.T)
- For families of more than 3 the cost is 5 euros/person
