We will visit Meteora – Elati – Pertouli on the weekend of March 25th. Meteora is a sacred place, both from a religious and spiritual point of view, as well as of rare and unique beauty, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988. We will now traverse it in a special way. Certified guides of Extreme Tours will lead us with safety on the Via Cordata, where we will walk on the monk’s path, and climb the rock of Agia fully equipped to admire the amazing view of Meteora and Kalambaka.
Elati and Pertouli are two unique destinations we will visit that will enchant us with their wonderful spring colours. Two destinations that will surely reward us with their beauty. We will visit the picturesque arched bridge of Palaiokarya, ride horses in the forest, drive ATV’s or Snowmobiles (depending on the weather) and try our archery and shooting skills.
🌲Elati: a heavenly destination at an altitude of 921 m, immersed in fir trees, hence its name which in Greek means “fir”. The old stone buildings, the cobblestone streets and small squares decorated with fountains and flowerbeds, give it a noble and scenic appearance.
🏡Pertouli: This village of about 100 permanent residents at an altitude of 1150 m, is a jewel nestled in a beautiful fir forest. Its beauty will motivate you to wander through its stone alleys around the central square.
🌉Palaiokarya Bridge: A uniquely beautiful bridge stands proudly between two waterfalls since 1550. With a length of 26 m and a height of 10 m, it connected Pyli and the surrounding villages with the region of Aspropotamos. Harmoniously connected with the natural environment, it is the best spot for capturing the synergy of humans and nature in a single photo.

1st Day
Athens-Meteora-Via Cordata-Elati
On Saturday morning and in a very good mood we depart for Meteora. Arriving in the town of Kalambaka we will make a stop to stock up with the necessary snacks and everything else we need for our activity. Then we will head to the starting point of the Via Cordata where our instructors will give us a short training to learn everything we need in order to carry out this activity safely. Via Cordata in Meteora is an amazing route with anchors, where our instructors-guides place our safety cords. The climb to the rock of Agia is done using equipment along the ancient path, carved on the edge of the rocks, with a stunning view of Meteora and Klambaka! The view from the highest point is breathtaking! This path was in the Middle Ages by the monks who lived in the ruined monastery of the Twelve Apostoles. The rock of Agia was part of an ancient fortification of the city thousands of years ago. It is really worth visiting this place safely.
Next on our programme we will head to Elati where the hotel is located, and we will stay for the next two nights. At night there is free time for sightseeing and strolls in the lovely village of Elati.

2nd Day
Pertouli- Horse riding in the forest, ATV’s or Snowmobile ride, Archery, Shooting
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Pertouli. Just before we reach Pertouli we will make a stop to try some outdoor activities. Here the options are several. We can choose between Horse Riding in the forest, Riding ATV’s or Snowmobile, Archery and Shooting. Each activity lasts about half an hour, and you will gain unique experiences. In the activity area there is a cafeteria for those who would like to relax and enjoy nature while sipping their coffee. Afterwards we will visit the jewel of a village, Pertouli. There we will have free time to tour the village, buy souvenirs and take endless photos. After our stroll through the village, we will return to Elati where we will have more free time.

- ATV’s – Snowmobile: In these activities there can be two people per vehicle.
- Archery – Shooting: They are held under the supervision of instructors. Shooting will be done with an air gun.
3rd Day
Elati – Palaiokarya Arched Bridge – Athens
Waking up on the third day of our tour we will have breakfast at our hotel and relax by strolling about in Elati for a morning coffee. This beautiful village will leave us stunned with its beauty. We will fill our minds with unique images while gazing at the beautiful local shops, the stone-built houses, and the vegetation of the area. Leaving behind this dreamy destination we will head towards the picturesque bridge of Palaiokarya.
This beautiful arched bridge, built in the 16th century, has become one with the surrounding natural elements while also assisting the nearby villages build connections with the rest of the region. Sitting between the two waterfalls, the views are immaculate and one of the highlights of our trip.
Afterwards we will head for lunch in a village while on our way back to Athens.
